Along with many of our regular features, we welcomed Portsmouth University lecturer Dave Allen, telling us more about, and letting us hear more of, the local 1960s pop music scene.

We also discovered yet another great view to be had of our harbour entrance, that from the penthouse of the new Quay House luxury apartments in Old Portsmouth's Broad Street.

On this week's show, along with all the usual regular items, was a comprehensive account of the outcome of recent judging for this year's Portsmouth Society Design Awards and Sue Kell returned with her own memories of growing up in Havant.

Meanwhile, seven times winner of our local history quiz Larry Nicholas brought his considerable experience of beer drinking to bear on the history of United Breweries Pompey Royal beer that was especially brewed to mark the Queen's coronation!

We celebrated a big local lady's 30th anniverary of not her birthday, but of her re-birthday - yes, we're talking about HMS Warrior, of course.

We got even more mixed into Sue Kell's experiences of the Kenwood Chef food mixer as she grew up in Havant; there'd come a lovely e-mail from a listener in France(!)

Peter Clark returned to tell us more about his many Jews Harps, we had the usual WW2 air raids report, our What's On noticeboard, the local history quiz - oh, and in the company of Portsmouth Uni lecturer Dave Allan we put the spotlight on the  Beatles in Portsmouth, along with local groups in the 1960s.

We didn't mention them on air as yet, but anybody like to guess the name of this locally based five-piece?
