18.08.09 - Although we used to play around this area in the sixties, I hadn't been this far down into Tipner since the M275 was first built, so I have to admit that this was my first close-up view of the so-called "Ghost Junction". The flyover was built as part of the original planning, together with two pedestrian subways, over which the access slip roads would presumably have passed - but then the idea was abandoned, although presumably, if they ever do get around to redeveloping Tipner, they'll come into their own. There's a picture of one of the subways elsewhere in this gallery.
