As you can see, it's a popular place for picnics and family fun and this group on the right were actually fairly local, I believe, as opposed to the hundreds who were visitng from much further afield on this day, as on many others.

A few years ago, I produced a nice feature on Portchester Castle, complete with some very good photos, which we published in our Portsmouth and District Post - I'm planning to dig that out, edit it a bit and include it in this site at a later date, so watch for news of that in my Blog Spot page.
