| Looking towards Portsbridge from the footbridge shown in the previous page. During the earlier part of the 20th century, this whole area was turned into a recreational facility and the moat was used for boating. It continued to be used for much the same purpose until the bridge access was widened and the roundabout built at Portsbridge, in the 1960s. It's still pleasant here today, but I missed the boats ... |
