Donkey rides on Southsea Common, with the old Clarence Pier in the background. The photograph was taken in either 1910 or 1911.

The beach just along from Clarence Pier - a scene probably from the mid-1890s. Presumably the brollies are being used as shielding from the sunshine.

The beach at Southsea, just to the west of South Parade Pier.
Difficult to be sure when this was taken, but it's probably somewhere between the late 1920s and the early 1930s.
Southsea Common, with the Queen's Hotel in the distance, during the Edwardian period, or very shortly afterwards.

The beach near Clarence Pier again. Once more, we have no exact date, but the various clothing suggests late 19th or very early 20th century.
