Francis Avenue, 1910. A lovely tranquil scene.
Below is a photograph taken the previous year, showing tramlines being laid along Goldsmith Avenue,
only a hundred yards or so from where the Francis Avenue photograph was taken.
The detail is a bit indistinct, but if you look very carefully, you can just make out Fratton Park in
the top left hand corner, looking nothing like it does today, of course.
